Teen connection is the BBYO experience made just for pre-high school students who want to enjoy social, recreational, athletic, cultural, and Judaic activities with new friends. BBYO has been helping Jewish parents raise confident, engaged, well-prepared teenagers for more than 80 years. And Teen Connection is the BBYO experiences created especially for Jewish pre-high schoolers, providing safe, enriching programming, fun activities and meaningful involvement in the community.

Teen Connection gives younger teens an early opportunity to enjoy fulfilling Jewish experiences that build character as they build bonds of friendship. Through social events, athletic competitions and community service opportunities, your teen can join thousands of others in exploring new ways to apply Jewish principles to contemporary life. And while we encourage teens to suggest activities they’d enjoy, Teen Connection is led by well-trained staff members.

At this crucial age, Teen Connection bridges the gap between Bar/Bat Mitzvah and high school. Your child can be part of an organization committed to helping Jewish teens grow socially and spiritually in a reassuring context of acceptance and solidarity. Even if your teen belongs to a synagogue youth group, Teen Connection provides valuable, new and different experiences. Your teen will get a sense of the practice of tzedakah, as well as gain exposure to new ideas and experiences that encourage teens to determine form themselves what being Jewish really means.

Join thousands of Jewish pre-high school teens around North America who are part of the Teen Connection experience! Eligibility for participation/membership begins February 1st of the 6th grade year and ends in June of the participant's 8th grade year, at which time they can join BBYO. If a teen is involved in Teen Connection throughout the spring of his or her 8th grade year, he or she is allowed to attend both Teen Connection and BBYO programming until June 30th.
